OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Administration) conducts workplace inspections to enforce safety standards under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. Violations can be classified as Willful, Repeat, Serious, or Other-than-Serious, with penalties ranging from a few hundred dollars to over $150,000 per violation.
